CURRENT RESIDENT AT AIYANA ATELIER, ALEXANDRIA, VA

ANDREA CLARK

JANUARY-JULY, 2024

Welcome to my residency!

My goal: Join me on my journey as I embark on a residency aimed at preparing me to become an aesthetic nurse injector. My mission is to provide safe and highly skilled care to patients that seek aesthetic treatments, as well as create a path for injectors who need a roadmap to enter the space in a safe way.

My Story

After obtaining my BS in Nursing, I began my career at the bedside caring for critically ill cardiology patients. Although meaningful work, I was quickly called to the business side of nursing and began working for medical device companies specializing in sales and marketing roles. Specifically, my work aimed at ending the suffering of patients at risk for sudden death, by selling and marketing devices aimed at providing implantable therapy to these patients.

  • After 10 years in the medtech industry, I realized a gap in the market, related to the data management of implantable cardiac devices. Rhythm Management Group was founded out of this market gap idea and over a period of 12 years scaled to 100,000+ patients under the remote monitoring surveillance of Rhythm. After the company was sold to private equity, I transitioned out of my role, with an interest in getting back to my nursing roots.

Based on my own personal self-care journey, I became hyper-focused on the field of aesthetic medicine related to nursing care. In an industry where regulations are low and demand is high, I noticed a gap in the aesthetic industry. Education. Both for providers and consumers alike. With that in mind, I have a special interest in making aesthetics approachable, both for providers looking to break into the space as well as for patients seeking quality, safe care.
